Arborist Reports also referred to as Tree Reports establish the condition of a tree. These reports are produced by our AQF Level 5 Arborists. It will address areas such as defects, damage, pest and disease or mechanical injury. The report will make recommendations which may include remediation, recommendations on pest and disease treatment or pruning required.
Do I Need an Arborist Report by an aqf level 5 Arborist?
Some councils require an arborist report when applying to prune or remove a tree. Council may decline an application to prune or remove a tree if the condition of the tree is uncertain. They may ask for a arborist report by an AQF Level 5 Arborist in these instances.
They may also be requested for Development and these are referred to Arboricultural Impact Assessment Reports.
Arborist reports may also be requested by individuals who want to know the condition of their tree(s) or for safety reasons. This is also sometimes referred to as a Tree Report.
They may also be requested when there are trees located on development sites and the impact of the development on the trees needs to be ascertained.

Why are Arborist Reports Important?
Arborist Reports provide detailed information on the condition and health of trees as well as any recommendations.
These reports provide the supporting information for Council and/or the tree owner to determine what possible mitigation measures need to be taken. Permits for work may be issued on the basis of these reports.
Proposed tree work in heritage areas or on significant or large trees will need to be accompanied by an arborist report in most councils.
Who can write Arborist Reports?
Most council have strict guidelines around the qualifications required by the individuals that produce the arborist reports. In most cases they require a minimum AQF Level 5 Arborist Qualification.
